Gary William Flake is the Chief Science Officer of Overture Services in Pasadena,
CA, where he lives with his wife and two pit bulls.
His research interests include low complexity models, models of
adaptation inspired by nature, neural network algorithms and
architectures, nonlinear dynamics, complex systems, time series
forecasting, system identification, pattern classification,
model-based control, numerical optimization algorithms, database
mining, graph clustering, web metrics, web searching, and network flow
algorithms.
He has been affiliated with Clemson University, The Center for Nonlinear Studies at
Los Alamos National Laboratory, The University of Maryland, MIT's Center
for Biological and Computational Learning, Siemens Corporate Research, and
NEC Research Institute.
