MIT Scheme

We recommend working with the Scheme implementations used in MIT's course 6.001: Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs. At MIT, Scheme is supported for Linux, Windows 95, and Windows NT 4.0.

Scheme implementations, both commercial and non-commercial, are available for most common platforms. The Scheme home page gives background on Scheme and has links to reports on the Scheme language as well as most implementations. The web site maintained by Schemers Inc. contains additional Scheme information and resources.

MIT Scheme is not available for Macintosh and non-Windows DOS systems. Users of these platforms should consult part two of the Scheme FAQ listed on the Scheme home page to find an appropriate Scheme implementation.
